Managed to do it again without even trying!

I managed to get through the first month of the year without making any resolutions. I kept with my last resolution not to make any more resolutions. In doing so I have committed to evaluating life, where I am in it and where do I want to go in it. Setting new goals, fixing old goals that didn’t pan out yet and just an overall evaluation of how things have been going.

The end of last year was a pretty rough one, most people could not have survived the crap I went through. Three of the women in my life almost died. Thank the Lord that they did not but every day I walk on pins and needles. Can it get any worse is something I have learned never ever never say. Another is “it can only get better” so not true. It can always get worse and no it does not have to get better.

It is like gambling, you think, “the next one will be a winner” uh wrong, you lost AGAIN. So if anything, those two phrases should never leave your mouth because inevitably you will find out the hard way it can always get worse.

On a positive note, pretty much anything that doesn’t kill you or put you in jail you can survive.

Longing For Simpler Days

Where have the simpler days gone. Times when there was no rushing around. Everyone said hello on the streets, road rage hadn’t really been invented yet. You could leave your doors wide open at night without fear for safety and loss of personal property. When it was actually safe for kids to play outside and not hide in the house playing console games all day.

There were some moral standards that you couldn’t avoid. Please and thank you were normal things to say, excuse me was common place. Now it seems despite living in a post 911 world that briefly brought us all together, it is all gone again. Everyone rushes around to get home and lock themselves away from the real world and jump online into the world of fantasy called the Internet.

I envy the people that I run into that tell me they don’t own or cannot even turn on a computer. They still gather together in person with friends and enjoy each others company. Yes, I wish that I could just unplug myself from the day to day reality of the “Internet based life” most people are now leading.

I have managed to unplug from Myspace, Facebook and never really big on Twitter anyway but I have. A simpler life where people read more and watch less TV, gather in the park instead of chatrooms on the Internet, good times at the bars instead of hiding at home for fear of a Gestapo DUI stop. Yes I long for the simpler life.

What is wrong with corporate American customer service?

What is the problem with corporate customer service in America?

Two bad meals at a Red Lobster restaurant in one week. Filled out the survey and I still have not heard anything from Red Lobster corporate about my bad dining experience. I didn’t eat there for almost 20 years because of a bad experience, guess it will be a lot longer this time around.

T-mobile customer service complained about coverage in the area where I live. Oh well too bad, sucks to be you.

Comcast cable company offers great incentives to have you come on board with them but then when your “special” offer expires they start taking all that money they saved you back with a super-inflated rate. Ask them about it and they say “well you can always go somewhere else.”

Apparently they could care less. Long time customers are not welcome in this day and age. They offer incentives for new customers but if you have been with them for any period of time they could care less about keeping you. Why not spend a little time and money keeping your existing customers happy instead of spending most of your time getting new customers? I cannot answer that question.

Roger Goodell Oversteps his authority again!

Terell Pryor, one of the newest additions to the NFL is suspended by Roger Goodell on whose authority? HIS NAZI HIGHNESS authority that’s whose! The player’s union cannot defend Pryor because he is not officially in the union until he plays and he cannot play because he was suspended not for something he has done as an NFL player but as an NCAA player.

Where does this arrogant son of a bitch get the balls or what makes him think he has the right to suspend a player that has committed no offense of any kind in the…….wait for it……N.F.L. Not a Pryor fan or a fan of the NCAA witch hunt that is going on anyway.

Roger Goodell’s days need to be numbered or there needs to be a committee that can override this crazy man’s insolent judgment decisions. His authority is incontestable and the man is completely and arrogantly insane!

Out with Goodell! In with a rules committee of referees or players representative to deal out punitive fines and punishments for flagrant rules violation or misconduct on the part of an active player.

OPEC, EPA and President Obama!

Again gasoline and oil prices are shooting through the roof. Not much we can do about it but bitch.

Again the EPA has stopped American oil companies from drilling for American oil on American soil.

Obama issued ONE permit to drill in the Gulf of Mexico for American oil. He thought maybe he would spark the economy by telling people to get used to $5-6 a gallon gasoline and trade your car in for a more efficient model. Somebody forgot to tell him that with the unemployment rate as high as it is that nobody can afford to do that!

GASOLINE PRICING AFFECTS THE ECONOMY IN SO MANY WAYS. COSTS OF EVERYTHING GO UP BECAUSE YOU USE GASOLINE TO SHIP EVERYTHING! SOMEBODY GIVE THIS CLOWN A CLUE!

Great job we killed one terrorist! The king terrorist at that. No let’s start taking out these terrorists at OPEC that are capable of destroying nation’s economies at will. They are the true terrorists!

About 6 months ago, the writer was watching a news program on oil and
one of the Forbes Bros. was the guest. The host said to Forbes, “I am going to
ask you a direct question and I would like a direct answer; how much oil
does the U.S. have in the ground?” Forbes did not miss a beat, he said, “more
than all the Middle East put together.” Please read below.

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April 2008 that only
scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a
revised report (hadn’t been updated since 1995) on how much oil was in
this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota, western South Dakota, and extreme eastern Montana …… check THIS out:

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska’s Prudhoe
Bay, and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign
oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion
barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable… at $107 a barrel,
we’re looking at a resource base worth more than $5..3 trillion.

“When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see
their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea..” says Terry Johnson, the Montana
Legislature’s financial analyst.

“This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found
in the past 56 years,” reports The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It’s a
formation known as the Williston Basin, but is more commonly referred to as the
‘Bakken.’ It stretches from Northern Montana, through North Dakota and
into Canada.. For years, U. S. oil exploration has been considered a dead
end. Even the ‘Big Oil’ companies gave up searching for major oil wells
decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up
the Bakken’s massive reserves…. and we now have access of up to 500
billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels
will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!

That’s enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 2041 years
straight. And if THAT didn’t throw you on the floor, then this next one
should – because it’s from 2006!

environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America
become independent of foreign oil! Again, we are letting a small group of
people dictate our lives and our economy…..WHY?

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we’ve got more oil in
this very compact area than the entire Middle East -more than 2 TRILLION
barrels untapped. That’s more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in
the world today, reports The Denver Post.

Don’t think ‘OPEC’ will drop its price – even with this find? Think
again!
It’s all about the competitive marketplace, – it has to. Think OPEC just
might be funding the environmentalists?

Change You Got It Obama-unism(Communism)

If you voted for Obama I really hope you are reaping what you sowed! I am out of work for the first time in almost 20 years. Denied unemployment benefits that if I had received were reduced because the fund is drying up. Foreclosures have not stopped. Banks are claiming record profits after needing bailed out. Well goody for them; NOT!

My mortgage company, gone, swallowed up by one of my second least favorite criminal banking organizations Bank of America. My Providian Washington Mutual credit card was swallowed up by my least favorite criminal banking organization Chase. Why are they called Chase? They will chase you to the end of the earth to get any money they can legally or illegally out of you. I had to get government agencies involved to get a fraudulent late fee removed. All they had to do was take it off because it was their mistake but no they wanted to play hard-ass-ball with me so I said fine. I paid them off despite it causing me to fall behind on a few of my other bills. I filed a complaint with the PA State Attorney General and the FTC which were not the correct agencies but they sent my stuff to the right one.

I got several apology letters, several letters begging me not to cancel my account, etc, etc, etc. What does any of this have to do with Obama? His bailout was supposed to stop these banks from going under. Did it help, no not one bit, if anything it may have made it possible for the bigger banks to perform a hostile takeover on the smaller banks with free government money.

Thankfully some years ago some one taught me how to get out of debt! It is not as hard a quitting smoking but that cigarette money paid off a lot of my debt because $5+ a pack per day sure adds up. Have a great day and remember a good rant once in a while keeps you sane!

Post Barack-alypes(apocolypse) Economy!

How do we survive the post Barack-alypse (apocalypse) economy? How do we stop this communist from overturning and trampling our constitution? The last thing we have to worry about right now is nuclear Armageddon when we hard economic Armageddon happening right in from of us. How many people that support the Obama-care bill realized that it was going to have to be paid for with something?

Do you know how a successful magician works? Sleight of hand, he gets you looking one way and BOOM whatever he wanted to disappear has without you so much as catching a glimpse of it.

With all due respect Mr. President which part of the statement “Communism doesn’t work” do you not understand? Socialism does not work! The government is broken, so how in whatever Gods name you worship makes you think you can fix it by yourself?

Change people? You got it! Constitution being stripped right out from under you and you sit there saying to yourself “ Wow ain’t Obama be great” Again I say people “Wake the F**K up before it is too late” Vote your party, but vote the incumbent out. That means the guy that has the job already for the really stupid people out there.
